A Great Restaurant in Uiwang: Nonggunui Jip Beef Bulgogi Hot Pot
Translated from the Korean original.

Two days ago I had an appointment, so I ended up visiting this place whose main dish is beef bulgogi hot pot —
- Nonggunui Jip (Farmer’s House) ”
- 54-13 Baegunsan-gil, Omegi, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do
- 11:00 a.m. ~ 9:00 p.m.
- 15 : 30 ~ 17 : 00 break time
- Last order at 8 p.m.
It is near Baegun Lake, so you can enjoy a good meal and a drive. Honestly, geographically it is not all that close to Baegun Lake.
This place sits further in, right next to the Uiwang Children’s Astronomical Observatory, tucked deep inside. Maybe that is why the air is better and it feels like you have left the city
completely behind, which is refreshing. There is a proper parking lot too, so parking is easy

The exterior makes the most of hanok charm, so it has an antique feel, doesn’t it? Personally I love hanok interiors. The wood that is the main material of a hanok, the lattice windows, the toenmaru wooden porch
and the exposed rafters — looking at things like these feels like stepping outside time and space, and it calms you down.
It was a hanok interior more than capable of giving that feeling.

Do you see the ingredient notes? What do you think? It really made me feel they prepare every single ingredient with great care.

The ceiling has exposed rafters, and my guess is that this used to be an ordinary house — they kept the frame and opened up only the inside to redo it as a restaurant.
Once you step in, the hall is large and the tables are neatly set, so it would be great to visit with a big family, for a gathering, or on a special day like Parents’ Day or a family anniversary —
that was the thought I had all over again. If you take a seat by the window, you can eat while looking out at the jangdokdae earthenware jars, pine trees and lawn in the garden,
which puts you at ease and doubles the pleasure of the meal.

Sadly I could not get a photo of the beef bulgogi hot pot set. Instead, please take a look at the number of refillable side dishes.
There is soy-marinated raw crab here, but that one is not refillable and has to be ordered separately. The side dishes really come out clean and well made
The beef bulgogi is not over-seasoned either, just clean and tasty. This was my second visit, and it is a hot pot I kept thinking about.
Oh, and a pretty yellow pot rice with turmeric comes out too~~ It is chewy, it looks lovely, it tastes great, and it was nice that you can finish it as sungnyung, scorched-rice tea.
Hardly any of you dislike meat, right?
If you have come to Baegun Lake and are looking for a good restaurant, I recommend this place, “Nonggunui Jip”!!..
With the staff’s kindness on top of that, it will be about as good a choice as you can make. ^^
