BTS News: Discharge, Reunion, and High Hopes for 2025

ARMY (the BTS fandom) around the world is counting down the days. The BTS members, who began entering mandatory military service one by one from 2022, are all set to complete their service by 2025. The whole world is anticipating what will be the biggest comeback in the history of Korean popular music.

Enlistment and Discharge Dates by Member

BTS’s eldest member, Jin (Kim Seok-jin), was the first to return to fans, completing his service in June 2024. J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok) was discharged in October 2024 and went on to hold a successful solo world tour. RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are scheduled to be discharged one after another through the first half of 2025.

Solo Work That Shone Even During Military Service

The solo albums released before enlistment kept performing steadily. Jimin’s FACE, Jungkook’s GOLDEN, V’s Layover, and RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person all entered the Billboard charts, proving BTS’s staying power.

Outlook for a Full-Group Comeback in 2025

HYBE has officially confirmed that BTS will resume full-group activities once all members have completed their service. A new album and a world tour are planned, and it is expected to be the largest-scale comeback in K-pop history. BTS are more than idols; they are Korea’s finest cultural ambassadors, the ones who carried Korean culture to the world. Millions of people around the world have learned Korean or traveled to Seoul because of their music. Let’s wait together for the day in 2025 when the seven become one again! 💜
