Uiwang: a Recommended Day Out with the Kids at Time Villas

Uiwang: a Recommended Day Out with the Kids at Time Villas

Translated from the Korean original.

Carrying on from last time and just as I promised, here is part two on Time Villas. Lotte Time Villas is surprisingly large, so today I thought I would show you the outdoor area

Next time I will introduce the food court. Among the glass buildings you can see over there is a lovely bakery café ~~

Today’s spot is one you can come to with the children, and with your dog as well.

All the outdoor buildings are built of glass, so it really feels like stepping into a European glasshouse garden

I went in the afternoon that day, so I was shooting into the light ㅠㅠ and the weather was so nice too ㅠㅠ please bear with the photos.

It is winter now so it is a yellowed flat field, but from spring it turns into a blue-green lawn. Here are the character sculptures that are

popular with the children. They even installed that Rubber Duck! that once floated on Seokchon Lake, the one grown-ups love too, and for a while it was a famous photo spot haha

There really were so many families spreading mats out on this lawn and bringing their children along to play..

And dogs in among them too hehe. It is cold now so you do not see the bumper-car style rides for children, but they run those cars as well, so

the children used to roam all over that place having the time of their lives haha blowing soap bubbles the whole while..

And now that same place has sculptures like these . I am not sure how often, but the sculptures change from cycle to cycle, and looking at them

turns out to be quite fun too. Coming inside here feels a bit like arriving in a land where only children live? There really are so many children hahaha

It is not even an amusement park ..but there is hardly anything dangerous, so children could happily play here all day long

Just as this information sign says, it feels like some sort of spaceship? A forward-looking house, and there were people inside it.

I did not go right up and peer in but it has various amenities inside, and I could see people sitting and chatting.

Something like this would stir up boys’ curiosity, I think. You can really feel how much Lotte has invested

Here too, because it is winter now, you might well wonder what on earth this is

Come summer this place goes wild hahaha. It is a fountain that doubles as a water playground for children..splash splash haha. In fact the lawn has fountains too, and the children

run around laughing themselves silly even with their clothes soaked right through. That spot has a dip in the ground too, so it is great for children to splash about in

Even I would have run around thrilled hahaha. There is really nothing to it ..you simply get hit by water and your clothes get wet, and yet

what is it that is so fun and exciting.. that must be a child’s heart, mustn’t it?

The little cuties!!!haha

This is the playground right next door. That square black part over there is a bangbang? A trampoline? Apparently every region calls it something different haha

It is small, but until just a moment ago a child was bouncing away on it holding their mum’s hand. hehe

The children’s playground is not quite ordinary either, is it? It feels creative, and the swings, seesaws and slides we always expect at a playground simply are not there.

Instead it is a playground you can only use by keeping your body moving, by using your whole body.

There must be a reason they made it this way.

Did they design it like this to grow children’s creativity and thinking skills? while they play? haha

Many of you neighbours are raising preschool-age children, aren’t you?

The policy changed recently so they only charge for parking at weekends, but once you are in here you shop, eat with the children, play, try things out.

Do all that and you will not begrudge the parking fee one bit.

Neighbours, is there anywhere you have taken your children that you would recommend?

Recommendations, please~~!!^^
